DPSCD Kids Christmas Party

Detroit Police officers and representatives from Detroit Public Schools organized and hosted the fun at a pre-Christmas luncheon and gift give-a-way at LGC Global’ s Detroit headquarters. Some 50 children and their parents enjoyed a lunch of pizza and a variety of international foods, desserts and fresh fruits. It was one of many functions sponsored by DPSCD Police Department and local partners to help needy families.

Many of the police officers dressed in festive holiday attire, including Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus. Gifts included a laptop computer for every child, video gaming systems, books and toys. Families also received essential household items and bed linens. LGC employees served as hosts, making it a great afternoon for everyone.

“This is something that we enjoy doing for the community, and it really warms my heart to see the smiles on the faces of these children” said LGC Executive Vice President Thomas Hardiman. He and LGC Chairman Avinash Rachmale are long-time advocates of giving back to the community. “Giving back is part of what we do. We feel it is our obligation as a Detroit-based company to recognize the needs of the underserved, and to offer help throughout the year.
