As LGC Global continues to be a best-in-class company for their clients, they do the same for the community. The cultural principals at the cornerstone of everything they do make the company and their people great. In that, they have made a community commitment to leave no person behind. In an effort to support this commitment, they have created the LGC Economic Coalition (LEC), a nonprofit program designed to support at-risk, African- American males residing in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck.
The LGC Economic Coalition program is geared towards men, 18-35 years old, who have been unable to secure viable employment and self-sufficiency. Many of them have encountered major barriers, setbacks and challenges in life, such as educational deficiencies, economic shortcomings and even incarceration. This program provides them a second chance that they and their families desperately need.
This innovative outreach program helps participants gain employment and interpersonal skills that are necessary for their success. Furthermore, they are guided and encouraged to complete their formal education, including enrollment in college. Another unique feature of the LEC program matches participants with mentors, provides them classroom training and on-the-job paid skills. The program matches participants with motivated, interested, highly trained and skilled professionals and mentors, inside and outside of the LGC Economic Coalition partnership. Those who complete the program are provided viable jobs to launch their careers in the right direction and positively impact the rest of their lives.
