LGC has provided full-scope bulk fuels services to the US Department of Defense(DoD) since 1986 on more than 1,700 projects valued at over $130 million at 75 CONUS and OCONUS military installations.
From fueling jets, ships, and tactical vehicles to powering domestic installations and forward operating bases, the DoD consumes large amounts of energy to conduct its various operations. Petroleum- based liquid fuels are by far the DoD’s largest source of energy, accounting for more than 70% of DoD energy use.
Our bulk fuels experts include Professional Engineers with specialized training in fuel systems and Certified American Petroleum Institute (API) 653/510/570 Inspectors and system designers who ensure compliance with API standards. We are also certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for the use of code symbols “R” (Repair and Alteration) and “U” (Pressure Vessels).
Our projects include complex work on a wide range of fuel system projects, including the use of confined space entry procedures, hot work on fuel lines, and work in areas adjacent to flight lines and on active military installations.
We believe our success is based on our adherence to safety and quality. Our Safety and Health Program is managed by a dedicated organization that answers to top management and develops and implements company policies and job-specific plans. The quality of our work is demonstrated by numerous awards, letters of commendation and Outstanding and Above Average CCASS evaluations from our clients. We implement a proactive and comprehensive Quality Control Program based on the government’s Three Phases of Control on every project in order to consistently produce high-quality results.
